General Function:

The Sr. Software Engineer will be engaged in the design and development of software for control, communication, and monitoring of operator products and accessories. Primary duties will be focused on control and communication software development for a variety of products, including residential, commercial and accessories.

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Architect, design, develop, test and debug embedded assembly and “C” software with both bare metal and RTOS frameworks.
  2. Produce, update, and control software products and related documentation.
  3. Create, update and maintain software development procedures and test plans.
  4. Adhere to software development processes and procedures.
  5. Must be capable of interacting in a team environment and working with others to achieve the best possible product from all functional viewpoints.
  6. This role requires quick problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and application of programming techniques to design, build, and maintain code.
  7. Deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms is a must.
  8. In addition to the technical skill set, the candidate will be a self-starter, results-driven, and equipped with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

  • BS/MS: Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, STEM or similar.

 

Experience/Skills Required:

  • 5-10 years designing and developing embedded assembly and C software.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering methodology.
  • Demonstrated success in developing software in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Nimble learner.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of PIC, ARM, RTOS, RF, or motor controls a plus.
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering design for digital and analog circuits.
  • Previous involvement producing products for high volume manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of safety-critical systems and regulatory compliance is helpful.
