Creative Door Services, North America’s largest overhead door dealer, operates nine branches across Western Canada and we have over 45 years of experience in the residential and commercial overhead door industry.  We provide access solutions by servicing and installing a variety of overhead doors and driveway gate systems, operators and associated controls.  

We have an immediate opening for a Site Inspector located in the Regina branch.  Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Site Inspector is responsible for completing site inspections for commercial, residential, service and industrial jobs prior to product ordering.  This is a permanent full-time position.

- Inspecting and preparing site inspections for commercial, residential, service and industrial installation worksites to ensure compliance with work order specifications and identifying necessary corrections and changes
- Communicating efficiently with the customer/general contractor/owner on projects
- Measuring dimensions and verifying level, alignment and elevation of structures and fixtures to ensure compliance to CDS requirements and safety standards
- Drawing sketches of installation and location of beams, electrical boxes and site conditions as necessary
- Providing feedback to estimators and sales team members, supporting accurate work orders and site requirements
- Proactively supporting the CDS safety program and initiatives, complying with all safety policies and procedures (including customer site specific programs), and ensuring utilization of safe work practices on site, in the warehouse and office
- Effectively communicating with sales, and project coordination ensuring maintenance of customer service standards and enabling effective site readiness
- Creating records of job site details, with photograph and maintaining all site check documentation
- Maintaining positive customer relationships, for CDS, in collaboration with the local Branch Manager and sales team
- Maintaining a positive attitude and communication style with employees in all circumstances
- Providing troubleshooting and advice to CDS field crews to remove barriers and obstacles before beginning projects
- Conducting environmental hazard inspection to identify or quantify problems such as asbestos, poor air quality, or other environmental hazards
- Other duties, as assigned

- Strong organization and decision-making ability
- Ability to read tape measure
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, etc.
- Ability to present information to internal and external customers
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to read blue prints and understanding of construction terms, scheduling and planning concepts
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite; Word, Outlook

- 2+ years of experience in building/construction trades, the inspection of commercial development and improvement projects, or a related field
- Experience in industry with a service and installation or distribution company, preferably in a construction environment
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
- Trade certification is considered an asset
- A record of continuing education in related topics is desirable
- Experience with access solutions would be preferable
