Door Services Corporation is a business unit of Horton Automatics, an Overhead Door Corporation company.  Door Services offers installation and maintenance of the doors manufactured by Horton Automatics (commercial sliders, optical turnstyles, revolving doors, swinging / folding doors, etc.)



Door Services is a rapidly growing and changing organization.  There are currently sites throughout the Northeast, Southwest U.S., and Canada, but the company is rapidly expanding into other territories.  The Inventory Lead will help establish and manage inventories, material data, and pricing for multiple sites throughout the U.S. and Canada.  This position interacts with many people and handles data that is crucial to the financial success of the sites and division as a whole.


Job Description

  • Maintain item masters in ERP, including creation of new parts, flagging excess/obsolete parts, and updating part parameters

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data management, cycle counting, and supply chain processes

  • Manage and assist with warrantee and core returns with the site warehouse personnel

  • Conduct and oversee physical inventories to verify accurate counts

  • Oversee current inventory processes and audit for compliance

  • Train warehouse staff on correct inventory procedures

  • Establish new inventory levels and processes for new sites and acquisitions

  • Maintain material costs and list pricing

  • Process and oversee over-the-counter sales


Educational and experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 3+ years’ experience in inventory or data management

  • Oracle inventory management experience preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Suite tools preferred

Travel Requirements:  less than 20%

 Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift and carry 40+ pounds

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to prioritize

  • Customer service skills and experience preferred
