The Position
Are you ready to make a difference?  Our largest manufacturing facility located in OH - 1 Million square feet under one roof - is seeking an HR Business Partner to join the Team.  This key role will assist the Plant HR Manager in the human resources functions in the area of administration, benefits, wages, training, recruiting and retention, and policies and procedures. 

Responsibilities
Ensure that all state and federal guidelines are adhered to while meeting facility and organizational goals. 
  • Responsible for a wide range of personnel duties within a procedural framework set by the HR department.
    • Employee Engagement & Retention
    • Daily Employee Interaction - personnel files, compensation, benefits, counseling, career progression, complaints, training (harassment, safety, ergonomics etc.), new hire orientation, terminations.
    • Recruitment Activities
    • Ensure adherence to State and Federal guidelines 
    • Provide / assist on required reporting, reports and metrics

Qualifications
  • Four years experience in general business, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills and ability to deal effectively with a variety of people and situations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing including software programs for personnel records, recruiting, hiring.
  • At least two years working in a progressive Human Resources department, with an emphasis on safety.
  • Experience in hourly associate recruiting.
  • Experience in a team or participative workforce environment is preferred.
Education
  • Four year college degree
