The Position

  • A member of the Technical Support Engineering Team that will support and assist both internal and external customers with their requests, pertaining to technical / electrical information regarding Rolling Steel’s entire product line.


  • Establish good regular communications with distributors, end user customers, field service, customer service, sales, marketing, engineering and manufacturing operations. 
  • Communications should include troubleshooting our electronic controls and devices including specifying special control applications and troubleshooting and training for field issues from telephone information.
  • Ability to evaluate returned electronics for their failure modes and to work with our suppliers in receiving of tested and functional units for production.
  • Gather customer’s information and determine the issue by evaluating and analyzing the symptoms.
  • Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about products and services.
  • Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; compares data from different sources to draw conclusions; uses effective approaches for choosing course of action or developing appropriate solutions;  and takes action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.


  • Experience in the areas of power conversion, motion control, microcontrollers, transformers, circuit simulation, component engineering and analog & digital design along with general knowledge of regulatory requirements (UL/FCC).
  • Possess, acquires, and maintains the technical expertise to create effective customer solutions.  This is demonstrated through problem solving, applying technical knowledge, and product and service management for the functional area in which employee operates.
  • A positive can-do attitude with a strong customer service mindset.
