The Position:

This position will be responsible for Overhead Door Corporation’s accounts receivable portfolio encompassing each of The Overhead Door Corporation divisions.

 

Reporting Structure:

This position reports to the Corporate Vice President, Controller.

 

Direct Reports to this position are:

·       Senior Collection Manager Credit Manager (team of 7)

·       Senior Credit Manager (team of 11)


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparation of departmental financial budget

Leadership and development of CFS Team Members

Cash application, customer financial analysis and setting of credit limits and terms

Working with sales and customer service to resolve customer disputes and to improve order processing; develop and implement credit policy and procedures

Customer visits to build and maintain customer relationships

Establishes credit policy and procedures including analytical review guidelines for establishing credit limits and procedures for credit approval of customer orders

Develops and implements sound credit and collection procedures

Build and maintain strong internal relationships with stakeholders and executives

Continue to support the implementation of the Oracle system across the business


Skills/Experience Requirements

A minimum of ten years of experience gained through increasing responsible management positions within Credit and Collections

A minimum seven years of experience in a management role

Working knowledge of accounts receivable software and integrated financial systems -Oracle software experience a plus

Working knowledge of the Internet including financial and credit resource database sites

Strong financial statement analysis skills to evaluate customer financial strength

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and effectively lead a team in order to drive results

Must be adept at managing cross-functional teams and be equally comfortable dealing with a variety of cultures, personalities and nationalities

Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and a strong team orientation

Candidate will be self-motivated with the energy to lead

Ability to hire, develop and manage a team

Strong quantitative, analytical, and financial skills required

Embraces the culture of change/improvement

Demonstrated abilities in judgment and discretion

Clear, concise communicator both verbally and in writing

A person of confidence who can deal with resistance coupled with good interpersonal, persuasive skills


Education Preference

B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Management.
