Role and Responsibilities

  • Checks dimensions, verifies finished work, and compiles documentation required for fabrication and assembly of equipment.
  • Interpret and understand technically oriented material, blueprints, elevation and plan view details, and door schedules.
  • Develop working plans and detailed mechanical drawings.
  • Develop layouts from predetermined basic drawings.
  • Utilize computer-aided design equipment.
  • Ability to determine reference plans, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning.
  • Prepares specifications for parts, assemblies and installations.
  • Contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.
  • Corrects master drawings.


  • Must have excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD and Solid Works.
  • Good multitasking skills.
  • Ability to create PDF files and create forms using PDF files.  (Adobe Acrobat Pro).
  • Preferred Associates Degree or Technical / Vocational Training School.
