Position Function

  • In conjunction with the Field Operations Manager, participates in selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation adjustments; and adheres to all policies and procedures.
  • Meets operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and supporting the CDS Safety Program and initiatives.
  • Identify, monitor and manage customer service standards, including timeliness and professionalism.
  • Ensure effective dispatching of technicians, timely completion of work orders and accuracy and timeliness of billing process.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Identifies and executes solutions to quality control issues.
  • Maintains the fleet maintenance; inspects issued tools and equipment.
  • Conduct weekly safety briefings with field employees.
  • Confers with department supervisors and sales personnel to determine status of existing and newly sold projects.
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Ensures appropriate training is provided to new installers.
  • Maintains quality in the field for all Residential Installers and Service.
  • Passes vital product information to field employees.
  • Compiles and updates a weekly logbook outlining all current projects as well as scheduled Builder meetings or training sessions.
  • Daily review of completed Sales Orders: identify back charges, compare work completed to piece-rate schedule to report payroll totals, make note of product issues seen on a recurring basis.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and communication style with customers and employees in all circumstances.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in the construction industry; experience in project coordination and/or scheduling is desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, self motivated, self starter, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality and well organized.
  • Strong leadership and business metrics management skills.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • A motivated individual with the ability to analyze problems and provide solutions.  Possess the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have a valid Driver's license.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Education

  • College degree in construction management, engineering, technology, business or related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Physical / Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
