Job Description

As a Field Service Technician, you will maintain rapport with customers, ensure your personal equipment is in good working order and document any service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records. 

 

Job Responsibilities

As a Field Service Technician, you will service existing accounts by analyzing work orders, investigating complaints and resolving problems.

 

Additional responsibilities for the Field Service Technician include:

  • Ordering and gathering components and parts
  • Performing acceptance tests
  • Suggesting improved methods and techniques to customers regarding door care and operation
  • Recommending system improvements to customers
  • Keeping service information confidential
  • Participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications to stay current on your technological knowledge

Job Requirements

As a Field Service Technician, you must be punctual and professional. Time management skills are essential to your success in this position. Furthermore, you must have good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

 

Additional requirements of the Field Service Technician include:

  • Door/Frame installation experience
  • Electronics Troubleshooting experience
  • Good analytical skills
  • Knowledgeable about equipment maintenance and care
